Takeaway: Bake and cook on the grill with less mess.
The mats are both the same size and measure 13"" x 15.75"". They are made of a fiberglass fabric with a non-stick PTFE coating which are heat resistant up to 500 degrees Fahrenheit. A basting brush is included with your purchase. The grill mats can be used on gas or charcoal grills or used to line your pans in the oven. If they are too big, you can cut them with a scissors to get the right size. Note that if you cut them, you may notice a few stray hairs of the fiber peel off around the edges, but these can be trimmed with scissors as well.
These mats work great on our Weber gas grill. We simply preheat the grill then turn the flames down a bit and lay the sheet on the grill, making sure it doesn't slip through the grate into the grill. The mat keeps the juices and fat of meat from dripping into the burners and causing flare ups while still enabling them to char with grill marks. They work with vegetables too and prevent them from falling into the grill, like eggplant slices and zucchini spears. The mats help keep the grill clean so there's less residue left to burn off and scrub. I use these mats to line cookie sheets when baking for a clean, non-stick surface and it works just like parchment paper.
These mats are easy to clean with warm soapy water and some light scrubbing, or you can put them in the top rack of your dishwasher. Keep in mind that you can't use these mats directly on a flame, so as long as your flame is well beneath the grill grates, you'll be fine.
