Takeaway: Easy to use and clean, doesn't rust; fine mesh basket keeps your tea clean and clear.
You'll receive two basket tea infusers. Each basket has a twist on lid with a chain that is about 4.5" long and has a hook on the end. The mesh on the basket is very fine with hole no larger than pin holes, though the holes in the lid are a bit wider to allow air to escape. To open the lid, simply twist it counter clockwise and clockwise to lock it in place. For best results, use only whole leaf teas as they have less dust and particulate that could escape the mesh. Place the desired amount of tea you'd like to steep in the basket. Be sure not to fill more than ½ way as most tea leaves expand quite a lot. Too many tea leaves can also make your brew concentrated and bitter. The chain can be hooked onto the handle of your cup so it doesn't fall into your tea. Infuse your tea with hot water until it reaches your desired strength, then remove the basket to prevent over steeping. This infuser works well with loose whole leaf teas and is great for one or two servings. It does a nice job keeping broken leaves and particulate from escaping the basket leaving your brew clear and clean.
